Treatment For Pain

Naturopathic approaches to pain management utilize natural treatments that are safe and effective with minimal side effects.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture can help relieve pain by increasing circulation, releasing endorphins, and short circuiting pain signals. Acupuncture is a painless and relaxing procedure that can provide long-term pain relief. There are no potential interactions with other medications and few adverse effects.

Cupping

Cupping is an ancient technique that uses suction to increase circulation and loosen muscle and other tissue fibres.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is a form of heat therapy that has been used in Chinese medicine for centuries to induce circulation and endorphins release. I often like to pre-treat a patient with Moxa before acupuncture. It is a really great way to bring blood flow to hypoxic tissue so that it will respond to other therapies much more effectively.

Laser

Laser therapy causes a release of Nitric Oxide that helps to dilate blood vessels and increase circulation. Increases in circulation allow for quicker healing of damaged tissue and flushing out of inflammatory compounds. Laser therapy is a great component of an injury recovery protocol.

Diet and Nutraceuticals

Establishing strong fundamentals for health and recovery is pivotal in reducing the experience of pain and allowing for a quick recovery/resolution of symptoms. New patients will receive a detailed protocol that includes supplements, diet guides, exercise tips, and requisitions for investigative tests. A holistic approach is the best chance for a speedy recovery.

Cannabinoid Therapy

Cannabis has become more accepted in society, and is now being used as a medication for various issues. Cannabis is a plant with many therapeutic compounds that can be used to treat pain.Cannabis is a safe medication for pain management, but there are some important contraindications and interactions that patients need to be aware of.

Intravenous Therapy

IV therapy is a way to quickly and safely replenish the body’s vital nutrients and co-factors. IV therapy has been found to be helpful in treating chronic pain conditions.

There are a variety of safe and effective solutions for pain that don’t involve pharmaceuticals.
